Buyers Guide to Health Evaluation Equipment

Health evaluation (diagnosis some may call it) equipment allows the practitioner to rapidly assess the health state of a client using a number techniques. The huge advantage these devices offer is the ability to get both tangible information about clients health state in the first place and feedback on their progress through the therapy process in the second place.

The main methods can be grouped into Electro Dermal Screening (EDS), Bio-Resonance, Thermal imaging,  Biochemical and Radionics. Each group has particular ways of working and abilities which are discussed below.

  Meridian Assessment
EDS/ EAV/ CEDS
Body Matrix Assement Body Field Analysis Biochemical
Tried, tested and flexible approach giving controlled, methodical evaluation process using an acupoint probe. Rapidly identifies root causes and appropriate remedies. Suit nutrition, herbal, homoeopath etc Fully automated evaluation process using electrodes attached to the clients hands, feet and head. Press the go button and wait for the results. No control over the investigation process. Identifies general areas of imbalances, specific organ problems and treatment programs. Using static electrodes to detect body field information, these computerised instruments comprehensively analyse health issues. We are still evaluating the full extent of this technoligy. Analysing body fluids chemical balance and makeup or blood viewing techniques. Suit people with good understanding of human biochemistry.

Electro Dermal Screening (EDS) also known as Electro Acupuncture according to Voll (EAV) and Computerised Electro Dermal Screening (CEDS).
In our opinion EDS offers one of the most tried, tested and flexible approach to health evaluation with its roots stretching back to the 1950s. There are two flavours to this method a) manual (EDS) or b) computerised (CEDS). EDS devices assess the client's health by monitoring changes in the electrical characteristics of acupuncture points whilst the client is energetically stimulated by test substances. These substances are contained in small test ampoules in the case of EDS or digitally stored signatures in the case of CEDS. The principle is similar to Kinesiology (AK, muscle testing) where the body's response is measured through weakening or firming of muscles in response to items being placed near the subject. Basically the EDS method is a way of asking the body a question and getting a yes no answer which is displayed on a computer screen or electrical meter.

The range of tests available on a modern CEDS device is quite awesome and allows for rapid, controlled and comprehensive assessments of root causes of ailments and remedy requirements. All findings can be printed as reports. In order to make use of EDS equipment some time and effort is required to master a probing technique however once this is achieved the investigative scope is enormous.

Body Field
Body field analysis is one of the newest methods of analysing the human health state. The devices Incorporate static antenna electrodes which the client touches (no probes) and sophisticated computer software to analyse the readings. The two devices we have reviewed work slightly differently, one is incredibly quick, straightforward, inexpensive and makes remedy recommendations and the other is more involved, takes longer, very expensive but does perform treatments. This field of energy medicine could well represent the next step forward in healthcare, however it is still a young method nevertheless worth a look.

Body Matrix
This evaluation method offers one of the simplest and quickest ways of determining the clients energetic health. With these devices electrodes are attached to the hands, feet and head of the client and their body is stimulated with electrical signals. The response to these signals are monitored and recorded by a test unit and these results are analysed manually or by computer and can identify disharmonies in body regions or more specifically organs. Only basic skills are required to operate these devices however interpreting the results and determining the required remedial action does require a good level of skill and knowledge and in the main not suited to a novice practitioner.

Biochemical
Biochemical analysis can be grouped into body fluids chemical analysis and blood viewing techniques through high-powered microscopes known as a dark field microscope. We are currently investigating the equipment is available in the UK and at the moment cover body fluid analysis.

Thermal imaging
Thermal imaging comes in two flavours - infrared and contact temperature measurement. With both methods temperature readings are taken with the body at rest and after the body has been stimulated, usually by allowing mild cooling over a set time. The resulting temperature changes can be analysed to give a detailed picture of body and organ health. We are currently investigating what equipment is available in the UK.
