Treating features
Magnetic strip The Vega Expert can store onto a special magnet card the signature information of any items placed on the test honeycomb or in its memory. These cards can be worn by the client as a treatment process. The signature information can also be stored in an inverted form to aid with sensitivities.
10 Hertz treatment Stimulation of acupuncture points with a 10 or 13 hertz frequency to act as a treatment. A roller attachment is available for larger body areas.

Assessment feature
Sector testing With the use of a headband, footplate and hand electrodes the Vega expert can assess the energetic balance of seven body quadrants indicating stressed, weakens and/or rigid regulation.

Database Plug in cards contain up to 1400 digital test ampoules. These are used to determine causative factors of ill-health. Remedies must be determined through manual test ampoules.
Test Categories Reasonable range of test categories eg  350 different foods, 150 environmental, 180 common chemicals plus specialist tests.

How it works
As with all EDS instruments the Vega Expert uses a probe to measures the electrical resistance of acupuncture points. A mechanical meter scaled between 0 and 100 located on the front panel is used to display the probe readings. To perform a test the client is stimulated with energetic signature patterns stored in the Expert while a reading is being taken with the probe. If this stimulus causes a deviation in the readings this is used to indicate an issue between the substance being tested and the subject.

Construction
In common with all Vega equipment the main box is constructed from a tough white plastic which gives an appropriate clinical and professional look. The front panel contains a clearly readable test metre, probe pressure indicator lights, a sensitivity dial, treatment level dial, two memory buttons, power switch and a honeycomb test tray. The built-in LCD computer screen and three menu buttons located underneath the test metre give access to the electronically stored test ampoules which are supplied as a plug-in card. This card plugs into a slot in the side of the instrument.
The top of the unit contains a thin slot which forms the magnetic card writer (SI). The side of the unit has a volume control to vary the sound level during testing.
The stainless steel hand electrode and a sprung loaded point reading probe are attached at the rear through flexible wires. The back of the device also houses connections for a printer and computer with additional connections for a footplate, foot switch and head electrodes.
The Vega Expert is powered by an internal, sealed, lead acid battery and incorporates a battery charger. The batteries should give several days use between charges, though this will be reduced if a lot of stimulation treatments are performed.
The probe houses a sprung loaded tip which has a spherical end. Lights on the front of the instrument indicate the pressure being applied by the probe as an aid to the probing process.

Software
The electronically stored test ampoules are supplied as a range of plug-in cards. In total 1400 items are available and accessed through the built-in LCD display and three menu buttons. This process is logical and straightforward. Two memory buttons allow the temporary storage of signature information for test ampoules placed in the honeycomb plate.

Optionally software is available that allows a computer to be connected to the Vega expert through a serial lead (not USB) and will record the client details and test results.

In use
The Vega Expert is switched on via a switch on the front panel and is immediately available for testing. As with all CEDS equipment the basic screening involves the client holding a hand electrode in one hand and the probe being applied by the operator to a point on the other hand. In practice the probe is comfortable to hold and can be used with a light touch. A double pumping action of the probe is used to take readings, as the readings are taken the operator notes the meter readings for each pump and any variation between these. To aid the probing process a series of lights along the top of the meter indicate the pressure being applied by the probe. The same number of lights should be activated for each pumping action (ie same pressure). An audio aid is also provided, as the metre reading increases an audio pitch also increases.
The combined process of accurately applying the probe to a point in a pumping action, maintaining consistent pressure and visually noting two readings takes some practice, however most people should be able to fairly quickly gain this skill.

The built in computer screen and associated menu buttons allow quick and easy access to the electronically stored test ampoules. Once a test ampoule is selected the probe is applied two times in quick succession and the reading for each noted on the meter. If there is a variation in the two values this is interpreted as indicating a causative factor, deficiency, imbalance etc as appropriate to the test being performed. A nice touch is the use of a foot pedal to manually advance through menu and item choices reducing the need to disturb the screening process by having to press buttons. At the end of each test basic printouts of the results can be generated.

The determination of remedies has to be performed using manual test ampoules as no electronically stored remedies are available through the plug-in cards. This involves placing the remedy ampoule on the honeycomb plate and taking readings to monitor the subject of response to these. Where favourable responses are found this is used to indicate the suitability of the remedy.

Once the screening has been completed the integrated magnetic strip writer can be used to transmit the frequency information of found remedies to a credit card size magnetic card (SI card). The card is placed in the writer at the top of the instrument and the transmission button is pressed. The card can then be worn by the client as a treatment. The expert has the additional feature of being able to invert these signals to act in a way as to desensitise the client from things they have sensitivities to.

To use the resonant screening facility the client places his feet on a foot palte, holds two hand electrodes and has an electrode band place round his head. The automated test procedure is selected by a button on the front of the machine and after two minutes a graphical display appears on the screen. The energy scores clearly indicate areas of hypo activity (low), hyper activity (high) and rigidness (no variation between the two columns). This gives useful additional information about the client and helps focus the assessment and treatment.

The dental screening procedure simply involves attaching a dental probe and placing it on to the amalgam fillings. The Vega Expert automatically takes the reading and displays the results. The amount of current voltage and power indicate the state of the filling.

This instrument is quick and easy to use in practice and allows rapid analysis of the clients energetic health.

Results
If a printer is attached (only certain printers will work with the expert) the results of each screening can be printed out as basic reports.
