Please note that this is a provisional
report. We have not evaluated this device yet.
The SCENAR was developed for the Russian space programme to overcome the
unique problems of space travel. It is a handheld device with an electrical
contact at one end. The contact is passed over the spine, abdomen or infected areas
to detected 'asymmetries' which the internal electronics converts into a
feedback treatment program which is transmitted back to the client.

Hardware
The Scenar is about 8 inches long and weighs 300 grams and runs from a 9
Volt battery. There are several buttons on the front and a small display.
Software
Software is built into the device.
In use
The device is switched on and the contact end is run over the affected
area or more generally the spine or abdomen. the client feels a gentle
tinkling sensation. As the device is used the practitioner notes any
change the skin (redness, numbness, stickiness) or changes in the
numerical display or changes in sound.
For fresh injury for acute inflammation treatments ideally need to be carried out once or twice a day. For chronic conditions treatments are ideally given three or four times a week. As conditions improve the frequency treatment can be reduced.
We
know there are quite a lot of these devices in use in the UK and we would very
much like to hear your comments.
