Summary
The Mora Century is a well built, versatile, desk based Electrodermal Screening device
that can be fitted with a
range of
optional modules. In its base set-up (with no optional modules) it forms a
simple Electrodermal Screening device
which can record values against 20 meridians. At its full capacity it takes on
a Computer Electro Dermal Screening role with additional facilities for
stimulation therapy treatment, body quadrant testing and remedy in-printing.
This machine offers a flexible and modular approach to energy health screening.
| Testing Features | Note - all tests listed below are using the optional WinBase electronic homeopathy software. |
| Nutritional test | Vitamins and mineral deficiencies, food sensitivities. |
| Intolerance | 366 testable items. |
| 5 Element program | Evaluating 5 element balance of client. |
| Organ test | Determining
energetic state of 20 organ/ meridians. Assess causative factor - heavy metals, mycosis, geopathic etc. Assess appropriate remedies -homoeopathic, batch flower, Schussler salts to rebalance the organs. |
| Dental check | Specialist probes allow the measuring of voltage, energy and current being generated by amalgam fillings. |
| Treating features | |
| Stimulation current | Stimulation voltage selectable between 0 - 100 volts and oscillating output selectable between 0 and 10 hertz. Can be applied to individual acupuncture points through a probe or larger body areas can be treated using a roller. Output can be set to stimulation, relaxation or sedation. |
| Imprinting/ magnetising | Signature information from substances in the input cup can be potentized and imprinted into the output cup for use as a remedy. |
| Assessment feature | |
| Hand to Hand test | Conductance measurement between hands indicating normal, hyper or hypo state. |
| Sector testing | With the use of a headband, footplate and hand electrodes the Mora Century can automatically assess the energetic balance of seven body quadrants indicating energy distribution and interference fields. |
| Windows Software | Up to 700 separate items are available from the optional electronic Homeopathy software database. Any of these items can be tested against the client to check its suitability as a remedy or as a causative factor. |
| Electronic Homeopathy | 16 test categories including: 366 allergens, 60 Batch flowers, 92 chemicals, 320 dental, 346 nosodes, 121 vitamin and minerals. |
| WinBase - PC software) | Stores client records and test results on a PC. Displays test readings on computer screen and prints reports. |
How it works
As with all Electrodermal instruments the Mora Century each uses a probe to measures electrical
conductance of acupuncture points on the skin surface. The conductance readings are displayed
on the front panel as a green bar graph. The screening
process involves first establishing a stable reference reading against
which all other readings will be compared. The client is then energetically
stimulated with a test ampoule which may contain herbal,
homoeopathic, chemical or any other substance you wish to test for. A second
reading is then taken and any variations from the first reading are interpreted. Direct evaluation of acupuncture
meridian energetic state can also be determined by applying the probe the
Meridian control points.

Hardware
The Mora Century is constructed to a good standard using high-quality
components and is of solid construction.
It is a fairly large and heavy unit and is not that portable. The front panel houses the main controls and display. Along the top of
display is a green bar graph that lights up and indicates the reading when
a point is probed (it is also used to indicate the treatment frequency). The main
display is used to select menu options and display found readings from the
screening. The four arrow keys to the right of the display are used to
navigate around the menus.
Underneath the main unit is a compartment for storing the probes, hand
messes and computer interface module.
The back of the MORA Century houses the main connections. There is provision for mains supply, printer (old style serial connector), stylus, electrodes (head, foot & hand), beakers (input, magnetic and output). The unit is powered by an internal sealed led acid battery which is recharged by the mains. The battery charge is displayed on the front panel and can be easily monitored and should give 6 - 10 hours use and takes 10 hours to recharge.
The optional computer interface module gives access to the PC based windows application allowing client records to be stored and electronic homeopathy to be used.
Software
The software come in two forms - built in and PC based.
The built in software uses the main front panel display to show menu options, configure
settings and display results from a screening. The arrow keys allow quick and
easy navigation. The main menu allows the selection of options (depending on
specification) Standard Electrodermal organ screening, Dental testing, homeopathic potencies
(medication testing), stimulation therapy, sector testing, conductance testing
and allergy testing.
The organ scanning screen records values against each meridian as it is
tested and the can be quickly review. Separate values can be stored to indicate
the benefit of remedies and therapy.
The potency screen allows the electronic Homoeopathically potentising of test
samples between 3X and 400X (1X being a 1/10th dilution) and in-printing these
into a carrier to form a remedy.
The stimulation therapy screen allows easy selection of output voltage, frequency and phase.
The dental screen can store values for voltage, current and energy against each
tooth.
The PC based software is the same as used in the Mora Super and is fully described in its report.
In use
For a basic Electrodermal organ screening the client holds a hand electrode in one hand
and the practitioner applies the stylus probe to a finger acupuncture point
(near the base of the nail) on the other hand. As the probe is applied a bar
graph along the top of the unit lights up indicating the recorded reading. To
aid the probing procedure an audio sound is generated which changes in frequency
as the reading value increases. The display also indicates how rapidly the probe
has been applied and indicates if this has deviated from the standard rate. Forty points are probed in turn 10 on each hand and 10 on each
foot. The recorded results are stored against the appropriate meridian/ organ. A
further two readings can be stored against each meridian showing the effect of
remedies.
Once their reading have been obtained the meridians that require balancing are
selected and remedies can be placed in the input honeycomb. The reading is then retaken and if it improves
then the remedy is considered appropriate.
Inverse testing on the Mora Century is used to determine client sensitivities to substances such as foods and environmental factors. First an acupuncture point is found that is unbalanced such as the allergy Meridian. An item to be tested such as a food or animal hair is placed in the input honeycomb and the inverse test is selected from the menu. The point reading is then retaken and if the balance improves this indicates the client has a sensitivity to the item.
Dental testing incorporates the use of special probes. The
dental option is selected
from the menu and the probes plugged into the unit. One probe is applied to the
main amalgam (mercury) filling in the mouth and the other is applied to a smaller
filling. The display director displays the voltage, current and energy
being generated between the teeth.
Stimulation current therapy can be applied directly to acupuncture points via the stylus probe or to more general areas by a roller or mat. The menu display allows manual selection of voltage between 0 and 100 volts and frequency settings between 0 and 10 Hertz (cycles per second). The output can be selected as positive saw tooth (stimulating), negative saw tooth (sedating) or alternating (relaxing). The output can also be set to swing between stimulating and sedating every 20 seconds.
Conductance testing is used to indicate the conductance between the two
hands. A brass hand mass is placed in each hand and the conductance test
selected. A reading is recorded. A value of less than 80 indicates the client
has a degree of hypo response and requires stimulation so that consistent
Electrodermal
readings can be performed. The use of the Mora's stimulation therapy can be
used for this.
Sector evaluation involves the Mora century taking conductance readings
between hands feet and head. The client places his feet on a brass foot plate,
holds a hand electrode in each hand and a head band, incorporating conducting electrodes, is placed on his head. The test is selected through the menu and the
Century automatically takes 7 measurements. A normal value is between 80 and 85.
Where deviations occur this is used to indicate energetic disturbances within
the indicated sector.
Results
The results to screenings are stored temporarily in the internal memory of
the Mora Century. When it is switched off they will be lost. The results
can be printed at the time of testing if you have a serial printer
available (rare these days). For
long term storing of clients results and good quality reports the PC interface is required
with associated software.
How differs from other devices
The main different feature of this device is its modular design. It can be
tailored to your precise therapy requirements and upgraded if required.
Training
To be confirmed.
